An original pencil, pen, ink, and watercolour illustration (16 x 8cm approx); showing Ratty and Mole from ‘The Wind in the Willows’ rowing across a lake; contained within an olive-green mount (30.5 x 22.5) outlined in blue, gold and red; fine.

Painted especially for Fold the Corner in May 2026, and signed by the artist to the lower right hand corner. The image originally appeared in the deluxe edition of Van Sandwyk’s adaptation of ‘The Wind in the Willows’, for which he contributed numerous drawings, and which was published by the Folio Society in 2008. This sketch, which was originally created for the final publication in 2008, had additional colour added especially for Fold the Corner in 2026.
