Slag was written while he was working at Portable Theatre Company from 1968 to 1971, and was originally presented at the Hampstead Theatre Club. Based around three teachers at a tiny isolated girls' school, the biting satire follows the characters as they vow to abstain from sex in a protest against the abusive treatment of women by men. As their differing views begin to cause conflict, their neglected pupils dwindle to zero.

A very nice copy of the work which launched Hare’s career as a playwright.

SKU: 1800177

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0943/8711/0212/files/1800177_cd550e4c-e651-4201-a3f5-6e4ddc7b78eb.jpg?v=1784202928
