Featured tourist spots include Monte Carlo’s botanical gardens and Casino, Michelangelo’s David, Lake Como, Staubbach Falls (Swiss Alps),the Isle of Skye, Loch Lomand, Promenade des Anglais, many classical marble and bronze statues in the Vatican as well as other Italian museums and galleries, Cleeve Abbey, Somerset and Trümmelbach Falls. There are at least twelve images of Malta which include the Grand Harbour Valletta, Fort St Angelo and Porta Reale, while other towns and cities include Naples, Florence, Rome, Genoa, GozoEngelberg, Grasse and Bordighera, among many others.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePhotographs such as these were highly popular between 1850 and 1900, when they were sold as commercial souvenirs showing waterfalls, hotels and picturesque scenes with captions printed along the margins.
