8vo., red card wraps, stitched to backstrip; lettered with an illustration showing a mouse reading and a slightly austere-looking owl writing with a quill to the upper cover, printed in black and gold; green card endpapers; pp. 20; printed in brown and red throughout on handmade paper; along with pp. [viii] pages of full colour illustrations on glossy paper; fine. 

First trade edition, printed in a run of 2000 copies. The booklet was produced to coincide with an exhibition at the Univertiy of British Columbia, which explored Charles van Sandwyk’s life, art, and influences. Named artists include Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt, Da Vinci, Beatrix Potter and of course Arthur Rackham. The endpapers feature a quotation by P. Bryson, and a frog dancing beneath the numbers of a clock.
